Known Issues
We record any known issues with the current version of Lantern here. Typically these are items we haven't fixed yet, or are just quirks of running Lantern on different operating systems.
Platform Issues
Not Supported
We do not support Windows at this time. If your application requires a Windows binary for Lantern, please reach out and we'll see what we can do. Generally you'll be better off running Lantern in a container in this case though.
Unsigned Application
Presently, Lantern is an unsigned application. You'll have to explicitly enable it to run in Settings → Privacy & Security. Also make sure Lantern is not being run out of the "Downloads" folder. Create a new folder and copy the Lantern executable into it. If you'd like to avoid doing that, the Docker version is a good choice.
QUIC Buffer Warning
On startup, you'll likely see a warning about the QUIC buffer being too small. Lantern ought to work fine in most cases anyway — but if possible, you should apply the fix described at: https://github.com/quic-go/quic-go/wiki/UDP-Buffer-Sizes
