sendTransaction

Submits a signed transaction to the cluster for processing.

Parameters

transactionstring required

Fully-signed transaction, as encoded string.

configobject optional

Configuration object.

encodingstring

Encoding used for the transaction data ("base58" or "base64", default: "base58").

skipPreflightbool

If true, skip the preflight transaction checks.

preflightCommitmentstring

Commitment level for preflight.

maxRetriesusize

Maximum number of times for the RPC node to retry sending the transaction.

minContextSlotnumber

Set the minimum slot at which to perform preflight checks.

First transaction signature embedded in the transaction, as base-58 encoded string.

A Signature Is Not a Confirmation

A successful response means a validator accepted the transaction into its queue — nothing more. The transaction can still fail on-chain, and it can still be dropped without ever landing in a block. To learn what actually happened, watch the returned signature with signatureSubscribe or poll getSignatureStatuses, and treat only an err of null as success. A non-null err means the transaction was included and failed: the fee was still charged, and its instructions did not take effect. Transaction Performance

Transactions sent via FluxRPC typically land quite fast — we publish average TX landing speeds here. On your FluxRPC dashboard page, you can inspect the landing speeds of your TX compared to the FluxRPC average. Select the API key you wish to inspect, then select "Transaction sending" from the middle menu. From the rightmost menu, choose to view weekly or monthly results.
